I’ve always struggled with finding the perfect formula of lip colours. Whether it be glosses or matte liquid lipsticks, glosses are either too much of a heavy feeling and sticky, and matte one’s are usually so drying. So when I was gifted 5 shades of the beautiful new Rouge Allure Ink Fusion Matte Liquid Lipsticks from Chanel, I was over the moon to get stuck in and give the gorgeous shades a try and test. I got my hands on them about over a month ago so I’ve put them through the test for a while and I can say, they are my new favorite when it comes to a matte finish and intense colour.

Application is the smoothest ever and the formula is like actual water. They’re ever so light; you can hardly feel that you’re applying anything on your lips. With the formula being so light and silky it also gives the perfect application when it comes to definition, you won’t be needing a lip liner to get that defined outline, the wand and formula just applies like it says -second skin, with the most crisp look.
You would think with a formula so light the colour probably won’t be so long lasting or intense, but I’ve had entire days of no transferring, smudging or fading. Most of all for me, my lips have never felt dry throughout the day, they feel just the same as when I first applied the lipstick which is a saviour for having that comfortable feeling. There’s nothing worse than feeling like your lips look dry and your lip colour may be all cracked and faded!

The new collection comes in stunning 12 shades and I’ve found my perfect everyday shade which I’ve worn non stop, which is ‘Mauvy Nude’. It’s that perfect natural nude that you can whip out and apply easily wherever and whenever, for me it’s a ‘my lips but better’ shade. There are stunning pinks and reds that would look stunning for evenings and also perfect for this time of year for party season, one of my favourites being ‘True Red’, it’s the most stunning red that pops, meaning you could rock a very minimal make up look and just the intense bold lip. The formula and colours are also perfect to create that really pretty ombre look, with the colour in the centre of the lips fading out.
