Technically, we are now going into the start of Autumn and typically its that time where you just don’t know what to wear. The sun can look like its blaring so you throw on a tee, to then step outside and find you need something on top to keep you warm, which then makes you super hot later on in the day… the transitional struggle is REAL!

At this time of the year I try and steer towards thinner knits; light enough for the warm patch and warm enough if it gets a tad chilly. I’m the type of person who hates having to hold something like a jacket over my arm if I don’t want to wear it; I’m totally a hands free person! So something like a fine knit is always my safe option.

I managed to grab this super silky fine knit top from the Mango summer sale for just £7 with the thought of having it as a basic for transitioning. Instantly falling in love with the material, its super silky with no seams so it has such a clean look with a slight draped high neck – extremely comfy and looks sophisticated! I’ve actually worn it for a dinner a little more dressed up with some tailored trousers and it was a perfect combination, very versatile and a bargain at the same time.

As well as being an avid lover of knitwear and autumnal fashion, I also have a keen eye for mixing up textures. There’s nothing better than pairing a cosy chunky cable knit with something more structured or even satin-y. Different textures styled together just give so much more interest and character to an outfit. Sometimes having an all one-color outfit but playing on textures can look really chic and that’s what I envisioned when I scrolled passed these corduroy trousers. I knew straight away it would be a dreamy combination with my Mango top, the look of the drapey fine knit & the more textured corduroy trousers, totally opposites but work together like two peas in a pod!

If you’ve been following me on Instagram your most likely quiet sick of seeing this gem of a bag, as I’ve got it stuck to my arm! If your someone who’s steering away from the whole animal print/snakeskin hype because your not sure on how to style a whole piece in the print (it can be a little much & overwhelming) then this bag is a dream to add to an outfit and bring in some of the animal print into your wardrobe.

I’d love to know how you tackle the transitional weather styling, what are your key pieces or items?

I can’t believe that top only cost you £7! It looks so much more expensive and luxurious! Also love the cords 🙂 xx
